JOB SUMMARYThis is a physician position and is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Medical Subspecialties - Occupational Health specialty at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD). This position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team at CCAD. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUNDER THE SUPERVISION, GUIDANCE AND APPROVAL OF A CONSULTANT STAFF:Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Occupational Health specialtyPrescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injuryAnalyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patients medical conditionInteracts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical conditionExplains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patientProvides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditionsEvaluates patient and records applicable notes about patients condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and / or a possible referral to another member of the health care professional teamLiaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD and Human Capital teams to ensure quality caregiver treatment planDesigns, delivers, participates and actively promotes health promotion and wellness initiativesSupplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive mannerTakes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measuresProvide on-call coverage as deemed necessaryFollows ethical and regulatory guidelinesAdheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Physician Staff EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSExperience requirements are set by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi bylaws.To view the Professional Qualification Requirements set by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, please click Note: According to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi bylaws, only physicians with qualifications from the following Tier II counties will be considered for Consultant Physician opportunities: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Spain and SwitzerlandAbility to speak and write English is required; ability to speak and write Arabic is preferred
